Master Angler Wes Blow to Talk Cobia Fishing on May 13

ONLEY — The Eastern Shore of Virginia Anglers Club ( will hold its monthly meeting on May 13 in the conference room of the Sage Restaurant in Onley. The meeting begins at 7:30 p.m. and will feature a presentation by Virginia Master Angler Wes Blow on chumming for cobia in Chesapeake Bay.
Blow caught the largest cobia in Virginia in 2009, a 105-pound 8-ounce giant, and has specialized in cobia fishing for the past thirteen years. He has helped VIMS put satellite tags in Cobia, and is Virginia’s recreational representative for this species on the advisory board for the South Atlantic Fisheries Management Council.
The public is invited to attend, and new or prospective members are welcome.
